Your Organization's Title: Billabong

About Your Organization: In 1973 Gordon and Rena Merchant began producing handmade boardshorts under their flat overlooking his beloved Burleigh. From those humble beginnings, Billabong was born.It became obvious to the Australian Surfing Industry that here was a man, driven by the desire to produce the highest quality, best cut boardshort on the market, and by the early 80's Billabong had achieved it's primary objective, going international.
Since this beginnigng, Billabong has perfected their boardshort uncomparable to most of it competitors. Billabong has now teamed up with Project Blue to create their Eco-Recycled Supreme Suede Boardshorts, made form recycled textiles and plastic bottles. A portion of these proceeds from the Eco-Supreme Suede are donated back to the Surfrider Foundation.
It is not a charity. Its a plan of action.

The Person to collect the most plastic items at each Surfrider location will receive a BILLABONG tee, shorts, or hat, etc.

Internet Photo Contest...

GRAND PRIZE will receive the a pair of the Eco-Recycled Sonic Boardshorts.

Design for Humanity
